I'm an experienced full-stack developer who has been working as a freelancer for over 10 years now. Right now I'm focused a lot on developing with Elixir, but most of my time I have spent working on projects with PHP. I love creating software that's usable, testable and maintainable. Front-end wise my current framework of choice is VueJS. My projects range from short term projects for smaller customers to bigger and longer projects with bigger companies. My working times are rather flexible, so I don't have a problem working something out that fits me and my clients. I look forward to working with you!

I've been working with UNIX-like systems (Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Mac OS X and many more) for about 20 years, both as a hobby, as my field of study and as a profession. I run my own company in Sweden in UNIX consultation, education and hosting. I've also written five books about programming and Linux. The first book is about Python. The second book is about C programming in Linux, macOS, BSD and Solaris. The third book is about Linux system administration. The forth one is about Linux system programming (the only one in English). The fifth one is about Docker. I prefer to do freelance jobs. I can also do sessions though, but keep in mind that I prefer to use text chat only, no voice.

“Kian hopped on quickly and we got right down to business. He was great. He did not start the clock until after a quick get-to-know-you. We coded up a couple of quick tests to find out what was wrong with my React/MERN app on Render hosting. Fortunately we solved it. Unfortunately it all boiled down to a mistake that Render should fix (Extra space(s) in rewrite rules will not be trimmed and will break your site, even though the build appears successful). Once the issue was solved he stopped the clock immediately, even though he still wanted to look at a few things to ensure that we had solved it. I thought that was super kind. Great guy. Easy. Cool. Laid back. Smart, and clearly experienced.“

“On my first impression on him based on his feedback on my request, I was convinced that he knows very well the thing that he is doing and analyzing. During our session, he explains well and really let you feel that he really knows what he is doing. He also goes beyond the extra miles of doing some research before having our second session. He is a trustworthy mentor unlike some I experienced who claims they know how to do it but time passes by in our sessions and no progress. He also not charging so much. I'm lucky that I have chosen him as my code mentor.“
