For over 21 years I have been a self employed software engineer. I work with my clients to take their ideas from conception all the way to final delivery. I have started three businesses which provides me the unique opportunity to see things from both the business and development perspectives.
I love discovering how things work and I'm excited to share my discoveries with you.
I am patient with everyone around me and enjoy coming up with ways to explain things in an easy to understand way.
I have over 8+ years of full-stack experience building scalable and reliable systems using **[ASP.NET](http://asp.net/) Core**, **React with TypeScript**, and **AWS**. In my current role as a Lead Software Engineer at Cimpress, I’ve designed and built multiple microservices from scratch in **.NET Core**, and more recently upgraded services to follow **.NET 8 standards**, improved middleware pipelines, and performance optimizations.
On the frontend, I’ve worked extensively with **React + TypeScript**, building components, architecting state management, and creating production-ready UI applications deployed globally. I collaborated closely with designers and product teams while ensuring a strong typing system using TypeScript to reduce runtime issues and improve maintainability.
On the cloud side, I’ve deployed and maintained services on **AWS** using **Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, S3, CloudFront, RDS, Lambda, Route53, and CloudWatch**. I’ve implemented CI/CD pipelines, improved monitoring and alerting, and introduced proactive tracking using dashboards and structured logging via **CloudWatch, Kibana, and Serilog**.
**Code quality and scalability** have consistently been central to my work:
* I enforce clean architecture principles, separation of concerns, SOLID, and domain-driven thinking where appropriate.
* I conduct and lead code reviews with a strong focus on readability, simplicity, and maintainability.
* I use **unit testing, integration testing, mocking frameworks, and automation** to ensure reliability before code reaches production.
* I migrated a major enterprise product from Telerik ORM to **EF Core**, which boosted performance by 40% and reduced long-term maintenance cost.
* I evaluated multiple load-testing tools and standardized **k6** for performance and stress testing of mission-critical microservices.
* I’ve designed services with async patterns, caching, and proper DB indexing to support high load and low latency requirements.
* I work closely with product and stakeholders to identify potential risks early and design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions.
I’m comfortable taking ownership end-to-end—design, build, test, deploy, monitor—and I enjoy collaborating with frontend-heavy engineers as well. At the same time, I can work independently, communicate clearly, and ship improvements quickly in a remote environment.
Overall, my experience aligns well with this role’s need for strong backend engineering in **ASP.NET 8**, paired with solid React/TypeScript experience, AWS cloud expertise, and a strong focus on correctness for high-stakes applications
Twenty years of working with web and backend software platforms, including .NET/C# and SQL Server. Extensive experience with Blazor since preview, now 2 years. Experience with hundreds of other languages, platforms, and technologies, including Kubernetes, Argo, Git, HTML/CSS, SCSS, Vue.js, AngularJS, Oracle Database, and many more.
I also serve as a Scrum, Kanban, and Agile coach often as required. I help teams and organizations improve the way they plan and work together. Central to these ideals is holding technical excellence as a top goal; the only way to be fast is to get quality high.
I love mentoring and teach others, working through problems in pairs, and leading trainings and small group learning sessions.
The tougher the problem, the more I thrive! I enjoy spending hours thinking about how to apply a technological solution to fix a problem for a given situation (who wouldn't?). Any developer can come up with a solution. However, coming up with a scalable, future-proof solution is what you can expect from me!
I don't know everything, but I'm great at what I do know. Which means if you're in need of a solution for a problem that's within my wheelhouse, I will take on the project as if I were in your position. You will get a lot of communication with progress updates, honesty and scalable code that fits what you need!
I'm an experienced senior software engineer in the logistics field. I've been developing full stack, interactive, .NET solutions for going on 10 years now. Feel free to reach out!
Having 18+ expertise work experience with C#, Blazor server, Blazor WeAssembly, Synfussion, Telerik, MudBlazor, Radzen, PWA, Blazor MAUI hybrid, SQL Server, EF Core, Web Security, Performance Tunning, Azure and AWS

“I’ve been working with Jessamyn for over five years, and she’s absolutely incredible. Early in my career, I didn’t have a senior developer to learn from at my first job — Jessamyn has filled that role for me ever since. Her depth of knowledge and experience is outstanding, and she has a rare ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently. She’s not only a brilliant developer but also a truly gifted teacher. I can’t recommend her highly enough.“

“Anurag is very patient and honest mentor. He waited for me to thoroughly explain my issue before starting the timer, and thoroughly debugged a messily scaffolded project. He was able to identify the issue and work on a fix.“

“I had an excellent system design session with Dejan today. He broke down the core principles of approaching system design interviews in a way that clicked for me. We discussed how to structure answers under time pressure, what common pitfalls to avoid, and how to prioritize clarity over complexity.
Dejan also helped me identify which areas I should focus on next. We even dug into how one might architect something like YouTube, which made the concepts feel much more real and applicable.
He’s clearly deeply knowledgeable, but just as importantly, he knows how to explain things in a digestible and actionable way. Highly recommended if you’re serious about leveling up your system design skills.“

How does personalized Blazor WebAssembly mentoring differ from traditional classroom learning?
Personalized Blazor WebAssembly mentoring through Codementor offers a unique and effective learning approach compared to traditional classroom learning, particularly in these key aspects:
Customized content: Personalized mentoring adapts the learning material and pace specifically to your needs and skill level. This means the sessions can focus on areas where you need the most help or interest, unlike classroom settings which follow a fixed curriculum for all students.
One-on-one attention: With personalized mentoring, you receive the undivided attention of the tutor. This allows for immediate feedback and detailed explanations, ensuring that no questions are left unanswered, and concepts are fully understood.
Flexible scheduling: Personalized mentoring is arranged around your schedule, providing the flexibility to learn at times that are most convenient for you. This is often not possible in traditional classroom settings, which operate on a fixed schedule.
Pace of learning: In personalized mentoring, the pace can be adjusted according to how quickly or slowly you grasp new concepts. This custom pacing can significantly enhance the learning experience, as opposed to a classroom environment where the pace is set and may not align with every student’s learning speed.
Practical, hands-on learning: Mentors can provide more practical, hands-on learning experiences tailored to real-world applications. This direct application of skills is often more limited in classroom settings due to the general nature of the curriculum and the number of students involved.
Personalized mentoring thus provides a more tailored, flexible, and intensive learning experience, making it ideal for those who seek a focused and practical approach to mastering Blazor WebAssembly.
