Engineering leader and hands-on CTO with 13+ years of experience building SaaS platforms and the engineering teams behind them. Author of React - The Road To Enterprise and Vue - The Road To Enterprise. Speaker at React Summit, React Advanced London, and Vue Amsterdam.
I'm currently contracting as Engineering Lead at Kaya AI, an AI-powered construction supply chain platform, where I lead 12 engineers and client-facing leads and own the product and client roadmaps. I made a core product that stalled on large data sets respond in under a second (key actions from 10+ seconds, data loading, search and filtering from ~15-20 seconds to ~1 second), cut data loading for non-English users from 30+ seconds to under one, and built a shared library of AI development workflows (spec review, multi-agent implementation and PR review, ticket creation) that 17 engineers adopted within two months, raising per-engineer delivery throughput by ~25%. I also shipped Amber Insights, an AI risk-analysis feature for clients, and designed an enterprise-grade, policy-based permissions system.
Before that I contracted as CTO for IQONICS in the energy sector. I built the engineering function from zero, consolidated three separate codebases into a single multi-tenant white-label platform (tenant-isolated data, custom domain routing, and an RBAC permissions system built from scratch), found and fixed SQL injection and path traversal vulnerabilities in production, moved PDF generation that blocked the whole server for 60+ seconds onto background workers, and halved feature delivery time with AI-assisted development.
I still work hands-on across the full stack, but what I bring beyond it is the ability to make hard architectural calls, turn business needs into a plan a team can deliver, and follow through on it in production.

>15 years of coding experience. Faculty member of HOWEST university. Also owner of a company called "Happy Banana," where I work on web projects, mobile apps & interactive installations.
Experienced Software Professional with a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Guwahati having demonstrated history of working in Software Design and Development. Skilled in Java, Databases, PHP, SCSS, JavaScript and HTML.
I believe that being well informed and constantly aware is key in achieving engineering goals in a sustainable, and most efficient way. With well over a decade in software development, through active and continuous learning, I have made a career as Tech Lead. I have gained knowledge and experience in many widely used web technologies, both front-end and back-end, as well as with several different frameworks. Unsurprisingly, sharing that valuable knowledge is also my passion, as I teach PHP, JavaScript, and software architecture online and in person.
I am an advocate of compatibility and standardisation. By using effective methodologies and tried principles everywhere, I achieve a level of simplicity that brings incredible agility to my projects. I excel at creating architecturally sound, re-usable, and robust solutions that are all the while easy to maintain and improve - such as software products, or re-usable modules and libraries. In the Dhii org I, together with other contributors, create missing though much needed standards and compliant implementations applicable to PHP in general. The mission of the WP-OOP org is to address similar concerns in WordPress.
