Make things done! I'm a professional software architect & full-stack engineer with 18 years of experience and 10 years in freelance/contract work. I have been working for companies ranging from the Fortune 500 list to some small local companies. I also have experience as a startup founder. My core competency lies in the world of scalable web applications and platforms, cloud SaaS and PaaS, the blockchain, desktop software, and games development. Some of the services which I would love to provide to my customers: 1) End-to-end product creation for innovative startups. I will help to understand the requirements, design the architecture which solves the current needs and is ready to expand when the product will start to grow, split the job into individual chunks and either execute these myself or oversee others doing the coding, ensuring that all of the business goals (including keeping development costs under control) are met. 2) Rapid and cost-effective MVP/product prototype, so the client in the meantime could work on raising the investment or getting initial market feedback for the idea. 3) Performance, scalability and stability improvements for existing products with a complex codebase. 4) Code reviews and refactoring to ensure that "technical debt" is under control and doesn't restrain future growth. I'm multi-stack and multi-role and able to give valuable and justified suggestions on a stack of technologies to use or approach to achieve the desired result. I'm easy-going, friendly, and fun - but at the same time focused, responsible and accurate. I will always share the "concern" with you if something is not right to ensure that everyone is fully aware of the situation. I'm ready to take responsibility and be your "right hand" in getting the job done.

I was ten years of age when first introduced to Windows Terminal, a 2400 baud modem and how to connect to another computer over a phone line. My excitement was limited at first however, as text would transmit only when the mouse was moved around. I would not be deterred from getting the full experience and, as such, eventually fixed the IRQ conflict between my mouse and modem. Soon afterwards I acquired a DOS terminal suite and a 28.8K modem. enjoying ANSI graphics, multi-user chat rooms, games and eventually bash shells running IRC. This was the point in my life where I became a sponge for anything computer related. It's almost twenty years later -- with fifteen of those consisting of professional experience -- and my passion is as strong as ever. From the moment I connected to my first BBS, I knew what I wanted to do, and that computers were going to change everything. I have been involved in hundreds of projects since my early foray into computers, including but not limited to: Design, Back-end and Front-end Development (Desktop and Web) as well as Technical Consultation and Support. Have seen over two-hundred projects through to completion for a number of clients in a wide range of categories.

“Brian is so helpful! He helped me finally ace my System Design interview and helped me land my new job! We had several sessions where he mocked the interview, then spend the second half going into a deep dive. Brian is very knowledgable and is helpful in answering all my questions that would help me succeed in the interview. I highly recommend Brian!“
