I have been working as a Software Engineer for 7 years delivering high quality solutions across mobile, web and desktop platforms. Each project has deepened my understanding of the development lifecycle and strengthened my commitment to delivering innovative solutions that exceed client expectations. As a team lead, I’ve collaborated with clients from the US and successfully navigated complex challenges to deliver results that surpass expectations. I focus on mentoring others, fostering best practices, and ensuring projects are delivered on time without compromising quality. I've been a professional programmer since 2016, diving into Apple App Development since 2019 after a spur-of-the-moment decision to attend WWDC. I have a passion for solving "impossible" problems and helping others tackle their toughest challenges. Since September 2024, my focus has been on Vision Pro development, particularly with Enterprise APIs. I believe this technology has the potential to elevate existing solutions to new heights. If you're facing any challenges with Apple development platforms, feel free to reach out—I'm here to help!

I have been a developer for over 30 years and have been a mobile developer for over 10 of those years. During that time, I've developed over 90 iOS apps, around 10 macOS apps, and quite a few Android apps too - some were personal apps while close to half of that were apps for various clients. I’ve also been a technical editor, final pass editor, and finally, for a brief period, the editor-in-chief at raywenderlich.com, the popular online site devoted to mobile and game development. I did a lot of work on their tutorials and so know a little bit about helping people to understand a topic :) I try to help people understand developing for a given language and try to show you why you should do something a certain way. Along the way, I also try to provide little tips and tricks which make your work in a particular development environment (like Xcode) much easier. And I have no problems at all with questions - the more questions you have, the more you'll learn and I'll answer any (and every) question you may have! I also tend to be very good at debugging code issues - even if the issue is in code written by others. I can dive into somebody else's code and quickly find the root cause of a bug. So, if you are stuck on a bug which has stumped you for several hours, I believe I can help.

“Kian hopped on quickly and we got right down to business. He was great. He did not start the clock until after a quick get-to-know-you. We coded up a couple of quick tests to find out what was wrong with my React/MERN app on Render hosting. Fortunately we solved it. Unfortunately it all boiled down to a mistake that Render should fix (Extra space(s) in rewrite rules will not be trimmed and will break your site, even though the build appears successful). Once the issue was solved he stopped the clock immediately, even though he still wanted to look at a few things to ensure that we had solved it. I thought that was super kind. Great guy. Easy. Cool. Laid back. Smart, and clearly experienced.“

“As someone who is very new to programming, I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor. He was incredibly patient, explained things clearly, and never made me feel like my questions were too basic. I came into the session feeling overwhelmed, but he broke things down in a way that actually made sense. It’s clear he knows his stuff and genuinely enjoys helping others.“
