Heya! I'm George! I'm a quality developer with more than 10 years of deep tech mindset and experience in various areas and aspects. Not to mention the hours in front of some codebase and lines of code written. Wish I had WakaTime before years. I'm going to take Bachelor degree in Geography, after studying it regularly and actively in the past 4 years at Sofia University in the capital of Bulgaria, obviously – Sofia. Side by side with that was doing some freelance work and maintaining quality software projects. Fun fact, before Geography, was studying Theology for a year and a half – kinda interesting, but left it. I love open source and for more than 5 years I've been maintaining and working on a huge amount of JavaScript projects (~400 npm packages, with over 40 million downloads per month), automation tools and what not. I've spent endless hours contributing back to the Free and Open Source Software community with debugging, opening pull requests, answering and asking questions. "Hey Claude/Cursor/Whatever, create this amazing finance web app with kickass features. **MAKE IT GOOD, DON'T MAKE MISTAKES**" If this was enough to build a decent product, I'd be out of a job, but unfortunately for you, and fortunately for me, it is not (yet). As potent a tool as LLMs are, one of the first things you should learn is that they should not be trusted implicitly. They can and will lead you down the wrong rabbit hole if you, the developer, do not know your subject well enough. AI-assisted development is a bit of a dance: You need to know when to give control to the tool, when to take back control for a more measured approach, with more targeted prompts (and the eventual manual coding). In essence, you need to know the tools, the frameworks, the features of each and most importantly the limitations before you can start pushing AI to produce truly serviceable products (and not a dime a dozen PoC) I have over **10 years** of experience as a Fullstack NodeJS developer, with a special focus on React and React-native, which is basically just fancy lingo for saying I make websites, apps and mobile apps very fast. I can accompany you on your journey from absolute beginner to expert level, if you'll give me a chance.

I wanted to learn more about the basics of engineering so that I could use coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor more confidently, and Shawn has acted as a true mentor in this regard. Always patient, solution oriented and taking the time to explain (and repeat) things, I'm really enjoying learning from Shawn.“
