### About Me 👋 **Full-Stack Engineer | React + TypeScript, Node + AWS | Dashboards, Real-time, Electron + Tauri** **Specialization 1: Full stack** For web work my usual stack is React and TypeScript on the front end with FastAPI or Node behind it. I have built serverless backends with Lambda, DynamoDB, AppSync, API Gateway, S3, SQS, and Fargate, managed infrastructure as code with Terraform and Amplify Gen 2, and wired in Cognito for auth and Bedrock for AI features. On the release side I set up GitHub Actions pipelines that produce signed installers for all three operating systems and publish to GitHub Releases. I have also worked with Google Cloud for storage and speech to text. **Specialization 3: Desktop apps | Electron + Tauri** I build cross platform desktop apps with both Electron and Tauri, and I pick between them based on what the app needs: Electron when the project leans on the Node ecosystem and heavy native modules, Tauri when a small, fast, Rust backed binary matters more. Recent work includes an offline activity tracker capturing active windows, screenshots, audio, and input across Windows, macOS, and Linux, a macOS screen recorder built on ScreenCaptureKit with automatic zoom and cursor focus, and an offline note taking app using Lexical with SQLite. I also handle the parts most people avoid: macOS code signing and notarization, Windows signing through AWS KMS, auto updates served from S3, and native device work over Bluetooth and serial ports.
My experience has ranged from an individual software contributor, through as technical team lead. Cumulatively, I have about 7 years post qualification experience as a software engineer. I have worked with multiple technologies on projects where my role includes building software features, scaling existing legacy applications mentoring junior developers and ensuring product success. As a software engineer I think first in algorithms, data structure, design, analysis and architectural patterns when solving problems. I tend to think in a non language agnostic manner, however I favour some technological stack over others as defined: I have experience in Javascript, Python, Rust, Kotlin and C++.
