Leading efforts in product design and development to build better experiences for geneticists and physicians in the healthcare field. Responsible for hiring/firing/leading a global team to build web/mobile based products that are user-centered and help our customers and their clients make a difference in patient care and outcome. Provide technical leadership and strategic decisions across the organization’s internal and customer facing web products. Determine these goals in collaboration with Executive Leadership as well as Product Management and other Engineering leads. Organize, plan and implement tools, processes and goals for creating high quality, user-centered and consistent user experiences across web products. This includes moving the organization and culture forward in using continuous discovery (user research, design), delivery (implementation, continuous integration/deployment) and feedback (analytics, qualitative, quantitative) to enable continuous learning and innovation. Updating the company’s logo and branding, providing a standard and consistent style guide used in Marketing as well as in product development. Translate this style guide into a living design system that can support rapid iteration on new products and features. Managed both local and remote teams of designers and engineers working on SaaS products, both customer facing and internal. Directly managed multiple front-end developers and designers as well as 2 development team leads who had management responsibilities of their own teams. Responsible for hiring and grow our product teams as well as providing 1:1s, coaching and feedback for all individuals on these teams. Provide organizational coaching, mentoring and training on process (lean, agile, kanban) and product management (discovery, delivery, feedback, outcome based roadmaps) to leadership and product/technical managers.
