I have built everything from simple javascript menus to highly complex javascript single page applications. I've been working primarily in javascript since long before any of the currently popular frameworks existed. My primary focus lately is on React, web components, and Vanilla JS.

As a front end developer, almost every project I've ever done has required plenty of html and css, as well as learning how to make the html and css work together with various front end or back end template tools, and how to make everything work nicely on all major browsers I'm not a designer, but I can implement just about any design in html and css

While I have written a couple small server projects, most of my node experience has been centered around tooling, for build tools, gulp tasks, etc. Many of the skills required to work well in nodejs depend on being thoroughly comfortable with javascript's single threaded model, and understanding asynchronous non-blocking functions using promises and callbacks

Though most of my current work does not use jquery as much, I have relied on jquery quite a bit over the years for anything from simple popups and form interactions to more complex applications and ui features. I've written a few plugins for personal use

I have used coffeescript for a few small personal projects, and our current automated test suite is all written in coffeescript

Our current application uses backbone and marionette for many features, though we're transitioning to React. Since our application is very complex, I'm quite familiar with the issues involved with building large apps in backbone, and with creating patterns and architectures that will allow applications to scale and be maintainable

I love React and will probably continue to use it in my current projects and new projects for the near future. The patterns encouraged by React and Flux have greatly improved our architecture. Our current application uses Fluxxor, though I'd probably use Redux on a new application
