I'm the author of ReactQL (https://reactql.org), a starter kit that uses React, Redux, GraphQL, Webpack, PostCSS, LESS to build full-stack, universal/isomorphic Javascript apps. JS is my bread and butter. I've programmed in it since the late 90s, way before Node.js, before Prototype and Backbone, before V8 and before Node.js made it possible to build serious apps on the server-side. You can't be a full-stack developer and not know HTML! I've been writing HTML for 18+ years. I've lived through the Netscape years, the IE evolution, the myriad of edge cases in HTML4 and HTML5, through to what we have today. You can say I've pretty much grown up alongside HTML.

I have strong experience with HTML and the DOM, and build HTML5, standards-compliant pages, etc. However, these days I rarely touch the DOM; everything is React.js. I've had a ton of experience working with front-end developers and using SASS, and have built that experience into my ReactQL starter kit.

I typically write in SASS, to benefit from nested classes, mixins, and other goodies. In my ReactQL starter kit, I built an extensive pipeline that uses source maps in development (browser + SSR) plus outputs local CSS hashed modules, to avoid namespace clashes. My experience goes way beyond writing a few stylesheets, and into the realm of true front-end optimisation.

I have a ton of experience targeting AWS for solid deployments. Experience includes: Writing Dockerfiles (and Docker Compose), orchestrating multiple containers, working with CentOS and CoreOS as a Docker host environment, running MySQL/PostgreSQL via RDS, setting up ELB load balancers and health checks, building HTTP/2 Nginx servers that proxy to Node.js back-ends, running private Route53 DNS zones and more. Writing server-side Node.js apps requires strong familiarity with the terminal - I know my way around Linux (most distros, but specifically CoreOS and CentOS)

I've written server-side Javascript apps since Node.js was first released in 2009. Nowdays, I exclusively use ES6/ES2017, with all the latest syntax enhancements - `const` and `let` statements, fat-arrow functions, rest/spread parameters, generators, import/export modules, async/await, I'm the author of https://reactql.org, a starter kit that uses React.js + GraphQL (via Apollo) + one of the most extensive Webpack configurations you'll see from any project on the planet.
