Ivan Dokov

I love Laravel. This is my #1 framework since 2013. I moved to Laravel from CodeIgniter, like most of the developers. It wasn't such an easy decision since Kohana was good too at this time, but Laravel had the edge with a few cool features which I don't remember anymore because it was long time ago. I use the framework for 100% of the projects that we code. Even for a simple blog I prefer to code it from 0 instead of using WordPress (I have 2 years experience with it but hate it!).

I am working with PHP since 2006. My favourite framework is Laravel. I have experience as development team leader in two companies in my career and recently I have opened my own company called JetSpark (jetspark.io)

I have used jQuery (like everyone else) a lot in my career, but in the last few years I moved completely to ES6 / vanilla javascript. On the backend (node.js) I have a few personal small projects, but nothing large or running on production. I have a tool based on Gulp and Webpack that we use in my company https://github.com/ivandokov/rockety that has a tiny CLI tool written in Node.js

As team leader of the development team in my previous companies I introduced most of the new techniques to the colleagues and I had to be fully prepared to explain the technology and answer any questions. When we started using the BEM model we saw how reusable the code became.

Most of the web applications require database and in my career I gathered enough experience with MySQL. Although I haven't covered every possible use case of the database I feel confident that I can handle most of the common tasks required for e-commerce website or CRM.
