Ruby is the language that drives most of my company's backend, and is the language I work with most on a day-to-day basis. While I know the basics of rails, I prefer padrino. I also have a lot of experience setting up background workers using resque, as well as traditional daemons.

I work with HTML and CSS on a day to day basis. I am not a designer, but I am an expert at making the beautiful designs that designers create actually work in css and html.

Databases are a requirement for nearly every modern application, and SQL is the language that drives the industry standards. Today I work with large data sets in SQL on a daily basis (100+ GB). I can help with designing schemas for performance and practicality, give tips on how best to index your data, teach complex join logic, and help tune queries and operations.

I've migrated companies from other version control systems to git, and use git on a day to day basis for nearly all of my development workflows. I can help teach the basics or the complex issues that arise when merging, rebasing, and more.

I've been administering my personal servers and company servers ever since I began writing web apps. I know how to harden a box, configure SSL certificates, set up a VPN, manage multiple machines using SaltStack, configure complex sites in nginx, and more.
