ABOUT ME
Full-Stack JavaScript Developer
Full-Stack JavaScript Developer

Full stack web developer since high school. I've worked with many mainstream languages/frameworks but focused on JavaScript such as Node, Express, jQuery, Angular, and more recently found appreciation for React with Redux.

My proficiency stack is:

Server-side: Node.JS (with Express middleware)
Client-side: React & Redux
Database: Postgres

I excel at finding solutions to any problem that gets thrown my way. I've been nicknamed "Fire Breather" at my current gig due to my ability to quickly knock out any problem that gets throw my way. I can work with you to find a solution quickly or I can dive deep down into your code and spend as much time as you need.

I started using React as a way to improve my skills and learn new technologies, but quickly became infatuated with React. All my front-end projects now use React, and I have never looked back.

I used Angular for a while due to the hype that was involved in 1.x, and I even started to use Angular2, but was not happy with the way Angular works as a domain-specific language, and does not feel like JavaScript. Angular requires angular-specific libraries and frameworks, so I was swayed from progressing onto Angular2.

I used jQuery when I was first starting JavaScript. I enjoyed the amount of pain the library relieves, but I was not happy with the slow progress compared to React. I ended up switching to React for aspects of JSX, and the virtual dom.
