Served as squad captain for a team of 6 engineers, 5 qa engineers, and 3 product managers. Scheduled and ran agile ceremonies. Worked cross functionally with various stakeholders to communicate requirements and understand roadmaps, deadlines, and priorities. Coached and mentored 6 engineer direct reports with varying experience levels from junior to principal. Facilitated 1:1s, provided career coaching, generated individual development plans, and encouraged learning opportunities. Interviewed, hired, and onboarded 3 new engineers, with a 100% retention rate. Planned and executed the first ever engineering organization-wide hackathon with over 100 participants. Led unit testing refactoring project to move the org closer to CI/CD, going from a few hundred unit tests to over 700, covering critical parts of the application. Opened an engineering learning hub on confluence to centralize our learning opportunities for other team members to take advantage of. Our team successfully delivered Lululemon in store and mail-in trade in platforms as well as Arc’Teryx Canadian/International projects involving international warehousing and payments as well as currency conversion.

Led efforts to standardize best practices in dynamic typing and GraphQL usage throughout frontend applications in React, Typescript, and GraphQL. Mentored junior engineers on industry standards and best practices, reviewing PRs, providing input and guidance. Created RFCs and implementation details around JSON schema diffs on the repository to standardize how deprecated model changes on the backend impact the frontend through GraphQL Inspector. Implemented strategies to modularize components to remove unnecessary helper and util logic and make isolated testing more pervasive.

Bond Liquidity Dashboard - Fortune 500 Company Lead front-end development deploying the React and Angular 8 application using AWS CodePipelines, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk. Implemented frontend utilities such as Jest for testing and Material-UI / Angular Material for styling angular components. Implemented TypeScript for ease and increased development velocity Built out all of the AWS CodePipelines for the Node.js Express API as well as the client application. Natural Gas Pipelines Administration and Storage Completed net-new development on a serverless Node.js Lambda stack which takes advantage of lambda to lambda communication for backend enablement. Delivered net new admin Views and reusable UI components within an Angular 8 ecosystem leveraging Redux for state management. On-Prem to Cloud Migration - Fortune 500 Financial Company Delivered Terraform development to enable on-prem to cloud migrations for secure file delivery systems for customers. Seat Reservation System - Slalom Build Built the coordinate mapping system stored in AirTable for overlaying seat icons onto uploaded office maps so users can reserve the seat in the system. Leveraged AWS SES to send templated emails to users for a variety of events. Driver Routing and Automation - Fortune 500 Waste Management Company Assisted with on-prem to cloud migration by decoupling repositories that stored too many projects, leveraged AWS Kinesis for streaming data, AWS Lambda for running logic on triggers, AWS SQS and SNS for queuing and alerting, and dynamoDB to enable data hydration.
