During my years studying computer engineering in university and my 1.5 years as an intern at Intel, I've learned quite a bit about computer hardware and software.

I love teaching; it's great to help people learn. I tutor C, Python, and Linux system administration

C is the language I'm most familiar with. I used it extensively in all four years of university for projects ranging from simple introductory homework to writing a robust HTTP server, a multithreading library, an LZMA compression library, and more. During my internship at Intel I also used C to develop a bus filter driver for Windows.

My desktop runs Debian and doubles as a server: hosting my personal website using Apache, running a few game servers for my friends to use, hosting a virtual machine to serve as our network's DNS server. When installing Debian, I had to patch and recompile the driver for my Wi-Fi card in order to get it working. In configuring these things I've gained experience with both security practices and system administration. I'm confident that I can fix most issues that would come up under Linux, but I can't claim that I know everything about the system.

While C is the language I know best, Python is the language I enjoy using the most. I've used it to develop a few site-scraper/downloader tools and for many other quality-of-life improvement scripts. One of my favorite Python projects though is a tool I wrote to factor quadratic equations and find their roots. This tool has come in handy often when I'm tutoring my students in math. I've also written an online multiplayer version of the classic boardgame Battleship to use as an example when I taught a summer Python class for junior high and high schoolers. While I know Python pretty well, I don't know all the intricacies of the language. I'm always excited to learn more about it though!
