The project I'm currently working has required me to become well versed in git. The repository is composed of many branches. We have one branch for each environment and we create feature branches for all new features. We work off of our own forks and submit pull requests to the appropriate upstream branch. My daily life sees a lot of tagging, merging, and rebasing.

We use CoffeeScript exclusively in my current project at work. I also built a small chess site almost entirely in CoffeeScript.

I've worked on multiple Backbone projects, one with a .NET backend and another that connected to a remote API built by our partners. The latter was built using grunt-bbb and was a very dynamic and complex site.

I worked on Westlaw products in C# on both classic ASP.NET and MVC frameworks. My work was mostly done in the presentation layer, which involved fetching data from web services, applying some business logic, and rendering views. I also wrote some REST web services.

Almost all my professional work has involved JavaScript, and almost all of my JavaScript work has involved jQuery. I'm experienced with multiple UI components such as the drag & drop and the slider. I use jQuery for AJAX calls, DOM manipulation, and much more.

JavaScript is an important part of any web programmer's toolkit. While most of my JS work utilizes libraries like underscore and jQuery, I find it important to know more or less how to do the same things using plain JavaScript and actually prefer it as long as the syntax can remain elegant and there are no cross browser issues.

I've worked on Ruby on Rails for many years, both professionally and recreationally. I've worked on small and simple apps as well as very large, data intensive apps like the one I do now. I'm very strong with ActiveRecord and RSpec and have had good exposure to engines for modular development.
