As a SRE, I have taken on a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Leading the design and implementation of a disaster recovery process for Elasticsearch clusters to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Spearheading efforts to standardize IAM permissions across the organization, using Terraform to codify all policies and roles and implementing assume roles to adhere to the principle of least privilege.

• - Leveraging Chef and Terraform to stand up Prometheus and Grafana, resulting in improved observability and monitoring capabilities for our infrastructure.
• - Optimizing AWS costs by restructuring resources, ultimately saving the company over $20,000 monthly.
• - Successfully migrating Java, Node, and Python repositories from Jenkins to Github Actions, improving our CI/CD pipeline and deployment process.
• - Taking charge of revamping our security process and addressing security vulnerabilities on Security Hub to enhance our security posture.
• - Collaborating closely with engineering teams to improve metrics scraping with Prometheus and monitoring using Grafana, driving greater visibility into our systems and applications.

As a member of the Production-SRE team, I have taken on a range of key responsibilities, including:

• - Investigating the high cost of Fluentd resources in Kubernetes, analyzing CPU usage on all clusters, and adjusting sizes accordingly. This initiative has resulted in signiYicant savings of $250,000 annually while continuing to meet our SLO.
• - Conducting chaos experiments to identify areas of concern with applications and providing recommendations on necessary changes to improve reliability, ensuring our systems are always performing at optimal levels.
• - Implementing istio-probe on Kubernetes clusters to monitor and alert on Istio-related issues. This has enabled us to quickly identify and troubleshoot connectivity issues with our applications, minimizing downtime and improving overall system health.
• - Developing and enhancing custom synthetic tools to improve observability across our infrastructure and enable efYicient troubleshooting.

As a Technical Lead, I managed a team of engineers to design and implement a self-managed solution that met the infrastructure and application needs of software development teams. My major responsibilities included:

• Collaborating with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to align and prioritize project goals and expectations.
• Facilitating architectural discussions to generate reference architecture and implementation plans for development teams.
• Designing and implementing an API and CLI that provisioned infrastructure resources on demand.
• Provisioning EKS clusters and implementing service mesh with Istio for both development and stagingenvironments.
• Mentoring and providing support for consultants and client developers.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines for Microservices and integrated tools such as Gradle, Bitbucket, Sonarqube, Nexus, Docker, Slack for providing immediate feedback to DEV teams after code check-in.
• Configure and rollout Sonarqube with custom rules, gates and plugins for application developer pipelines
• Perform POCs and analyze DevOps toolsets to provide feedback and recommendations to application developers and upper management
• Enable and encourage TDD and DevOps practices for development teams while providing Thought Leadership on the subject to business leaders
