Rich Steinmetz

I am blown away by the supportive nature of Rich. We've now been working together for about 2,5 months with weekly sessions, writing often daily. His second nature is to be available and extremely helpful, also in between the sessions. He explains stuff very fast and understandable. He asks about personal blocks and helps to resolve them. He creates a warm, friendly experimental learning atmosphere. I could not wish for a better mentor on my way becoming employed as web developer.

That helps a lot to learn with fun and an open mind. I am really impressed how good you are in adjusting our sessions to my needs and dealing with feedback. Furthermore I really appreciate how prepared you come into every session. That helps a lot to focus on my current relevant problems and projects. What was very helpful for my motivation was that you asked me about what app I would build if I had all the technical superpowers. You helped me also a lot with honing my coding skills, when we did a code review of a project. You explained very clearly what could be improved. I am looking forward to having many fruitful future sessions with you!

I've got in touch with rich again. This time we are looking together at a plan to get some job applications started. I got invaluable information and tips to get going. Looking forward to work on it together.

The first session with Rich was great. I was looking for a longterm mentorship about half a year or so. Rich is very kind and we analyzed my situation and goals in a very structured way. My first impression is that he not only knows a lot about coding but also has an excellent approach on how to teach and coach.

Richard was instrumental in thinking through different ways I could take a script I had written on my local machine and run it in a distributed fashion. I am totally new to anything distributed and he took the time to understand my problem, and then explain the options and the associated costs. We covered AWS Lambda functions, how Serverless Framework ties in, inputs and triggers as well as outputs. I would give six stars if I could!

Helped me understand the principle of web design. He shares his experience with joy and sincerity. Happy with him :)
