Stanley Ndagi

Hello 👋. I am Stanley. I describe myself as a Digerati (a portmanteau of Digital + literati) meaning literate in the digital space.

I work as an independent consultant in both software engineering and technical writing. I am well versed in working in the Scrum - Agile approach. I mainly work remotely and my experience includes working within cross-cultural, multinational teams across industries like fintech, agriculture and education.

As a software engineer, Python is my main tool. I'm comfortable with Javascript and have DevOps experience. My engineering philosophy leans on Coding is like plastic, there's already much of it in the world meaning that:

• I seek out non-technical solutions in addition to technical ones
• I strive to reuse and repurpose code not reinventing the wheel

In technical writing, I employ the Docs-as-Code approach. I also get involved in deploying and maintaining publishing environments. I am keen on sharing my technical knowledge and supporting the developer experience of individuals and institutions I work with.

Generally, I am a tinkerer and I believe in having fun and lifelong learning. I am also a proponent of Opensource software (OSS), and I maintain and contribute to OSS projects whenever I can.

My mantra is "invoke the builder within and serve" (which is a continuous process of honing my skills as I build valuable experiences and remembering to serve others by sharing knowledge and breaking barriers of entry).
