Senior Python Developer & PyQt/PySide Expert. I run PythonGUIs.com

Senior Python Developer and PyQt/PySide export with over 25 years programming experience, and 15 years teaching experience.

I run the popular PythonGUIs.com website, where I provide free GUI-related tutorials and provide successful consulting services, including 1:1 coaching.

My book "Create GUI Applications with Python & Qt", which covers development with PyQt and PySide has been bought by over 15k readers.

I have a PhD and Masters in data science and biomedicine, and am familiar with many engineering concepts and statistical analyses. Most of work consulting work is centered on building application UIs for engineering and scientific software, but there are some other wildcards in there. I worked for a number of tech startups, rising to Senior Developer before moving to consulting. For the past 10 years I have worked as a freelance software developer & writer.

My particular strengths are in architecture and usability of desktop software. I can usually troubleshoot bugs quickly & provide advice on how to avoid them, and make software more easy to maintain and extend.
