I started to use C++ professionally while working on the research for my Master degree, which was on Data Visualization / Graph Databases.

I learned C by myself in middle school and I use it mostly for low-level work, like microcontroller software, device drivers and custom modules/libraries.

Shell is a basic but very useful tool which I use to automate small but repetitive tasks, such as environment setup, project building and deployment.

Lua is my personal choice for most projects, because it is a lightweight scripting language, as powerful as Python, Ruby and other modern scripting languages, and has an advanced JIT engine (LuaJIT2) with performance comparable to the JVM but in less than a megabyte in size.

It is an old but still widely used build automation system which is a classic choice in the C and Unix environments.

Sometimes I tweak my Vim settings and plugins.

I have been developing some projects for the Raspberry Pi recently, ranging from industrial machinery to portable user applications.
