I started my career working in economic consulting, doing applied econometrics related to competition and antitrust cases.
After that, I was a data scientist and eventually head of the data science and data engineering department at a 1000+ person insurance company.
Most recently, I spent 3 years architecting backend systems in python with heavy use of asyncio. I have been a team lead and manager, mentoring my own direct reports to be productive on complex systems.
