I've written several static web sites, and also have written several Intranet Web applications. These all depend on having a strong foundation knowledge of HTML.

I've fought with IE, Firefox, Chrome, mobile, tablet, PC. I know how box model rendering can be painful. And I know how to center a div on a screen. Bootstrap CSS is one of my favorite tools right now here.

I've written large back-end RESTful applications and stand alone apps that use Java for all kinds of things. Lately I've been using Grails to manage my web application needs.

I spent the first year of my career cleaning up stored procedures and generating reports simply based on complex SQL queries. Now I get the opportunity to work directly with an expert DBA, who I'm learning a great deal from regarding optimization and best practices.

I've fought with horrible rebases and broken merge conflicts. I've helped define merge strategies and branch strategies. And I've defined the workflow for our git repositories that people use

I've started working a little bit with Chef automation scripts, but my primary experience with DevOps lies in monitoring and deployment. I've spent a good bit of time over the last 6 months learning how to take advantage of New Relic for troubleshooting, and know how to query LogStash to find what I'm looking for. I also know how to build and deploy using both Bamboo and Jenkins
