I've started using Rails as the lead developer of a startup, where I've built an in-house billing in RoR from scratch. I've mostly worked with RoR+MongoDB stack, but I use RoR+MySQL for my own little projects.

I absolutely love Ruby, and I use it not only for the development with Rails, but also for some small scripting tasks and infrastructure tooling. I've used CRuby and JRuby and know the good and bad sides of both.

I've been building projects on Symfony since version 1.3 and I still in love with its flexibility.

PHP was my language of choice for a very long time, I've played with a lot of different libraries and frameworks, popular or not.

Launched more than 50 projects using MySQL (or forks - MariaDB and Percona) as main DB. I know how to write elegand and efficient queries, how storage engines work internally, and how to monitor and scale MySQL properly.

I've been working with MongoDB mostly through Mongoid, but know a thing or two about the aggregation framework.

I've been running Docker in production for some time and never seen a technology maturing that fast. Containerize your code!
