Elie Matta

Elie received the M.Eng. degree in software engineering from the Antonine University, Baabda, Lebanon and the M.S. degree in databases & artificial intelligence from the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France in 2011.

He joined SelfStir Limited in 2011 as a software architect; a startup company that designs innovative human development products to help people and organizations become highly effective. SelfStir, being a values-based organization, brought him a wealth of leadership knowledge and experience, entrepreneurship and technical expertise. Starting 2013, he joined the Faculty of Engineering, Antonine University, Lebanon as a visiting Instructor. He also works with Murex, a leading financial software company, where he has become a senior software engineer and has been recognized for his communication and leadership skills in 2015.

Elie continuously pursues his mission to make the world a better place to live in through technology; he combines his expertise in the academic and professional fields and is an advisor in the Youth Advisory Council at the U.S Embassy - Beirut. Elie works closely with students on innovative topics such as revolutionizing the educational system, making Arabic translation accurate, simplifying the internship hunt for students and companies in Lebanon; all while developing entrepreneurship skills amongst the youth, coaching students and supporting them in their career endeavors.

Elie has received highest honors from the University of Burgundy during his M.S. in 2011 and is an IEEE contributor since 2012.
