I began life as a programming by writing HTML code for my personal websites on Angelfire and GeoCities, My knowledge has only grown from there. I work with HTML on a daily basis so I would consider myself a pro when it comes to semantic markup.

My experience with this goes hand in hand with my experience with WordPress as it was at that point that I was thrust into the world of server-side programming. I've been working with PHP and WordPress since late 2008.

While working on building WordPress templates I became fascinated by the ease of use of jQuery over vanilla JS. I wasn't quite fluent in vanilla JS but I quickly picked up jQuery and have been using it almost every day.

At some point I decided that relying on other libraries or tools to write queries for me were vastly inefficient when I wanted very specific sets of data. It was at that point I decided that learning raw mySQL was in my best interest, This came in especially handy when writing my own applications.

I was at one point ONLY a programmer, then our SysAdmin quit and I was somewhat thrust into the role. Since then I have expanded my knowledge of managing multiple virtual servers for our business.

My experience with this goes hand in hand with my experience with PHP as it was at that point that I was thrust into the world of server-side programming. I've been working with PHP and WordPress since late 2008.
