Cloudinary Design System (2019-2022)

Technical & Process leader

• taken ownership of the bottom-up initiative at the very initial phase
• impact: 30-40 FE developers’ and 7 designers’ daily work, solving ongoing organizational challenges with Directors of R&D and Product Design departments
• established common Design System definition: An environment where we fight for better products together by organizing and leveraging the human brain feature everyone is using on a daily basis (which is pattern seeking and recognition)
• leading and management of pattern seeking, recognition, and management in a multi-product, multi-team and multi-department environment
• at the same time educating the teams to fully own decisions in their product and how to interact with Design System in an expected way.
• internal design system foundations, components, patterns implemented in React library (>60% of total contribution)
• created and mainained design system all-in-one documentation and KB website
• initiated the process of making Cloudinary DS Open Source
• role: leader, library product owner, facilitator and educator for design system people (devs, designers, product managers)
