 Manage equity funds and portfolios based on various strategies including growth, aggressive, income driven, balanced, absolute return, indexed, exchange traded fund and fund of funds.  Client base includes sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, pension funds, UHNWI and retail clients.  Stock selection adhering to investment guidelines while being wary of the risk preferences of clients.  Focus of mandates include UAE, GCC, MENA, Emerging Markets, global and Shariah compliant.  Application of a technical analysis based trading system and formulation of investment strategies for different time frames.  Development, backtesting and application of quant models on live accounts.  Created a clear and scalable investment process and continuously enhancing policies & procedures of the desk.  Built the performance and risk database using advanced excel and VBA programming to automate the files which are used by the department. In addition, upgraded and automated the middle office reports as well as client reports.  Created compliance check files for complicated investment guidelines that couldn’t be captured by the system.  Point of contact for the desk on a number of projects such as compliance monitoring, market risk, internal/external audits.  Prepare/present client pitches, RFPs, DDQs. Participate in bank wide training sessions on products and markets.  Member of the investment review committee, brokerage committee and tactical asset allocation work-force.  Actively involved in the foundation and launch of first UAE based Exchange Traded Fund.

 FX Trader - Traded currencies, oil and gold. Decisions taken using Smartline trading system based on technical analysis.  Technical analysis instructor - Delivered seminars on technical analysis & Smartline trading system to professional traders.  Automated the trading system in excel using VBA programming skills.
