In this role, I was/am responsible for understanding various web-based tools for scholarly analysis of the text of the Hebrew Bible, the Talmud, and of user-provided texts, and for building scripts that interacted with the feature-set of these web-based tools. My scripts needed to do four things:
1) Manipulate the tool in the way that a user might do.
2) Record the output.
3) Restore the original settings of the tool.
4) Report whether the output was as expected or not.
