I'm a Berlin-based iOS engineer with a deep and passionate relationship with Apple technologies. I focus on writing high quality, simple, and well-tested code. I love open source projects and being active within the community. I started the Prague branch of CocoaHeads and I write a blog called central_dispatch (www.VojtaStavik.com) about Swift and iOS development. I have given several talks about those topics at developer meetups and conferences.

If I’m not writing code you can find me with a guitar in my hands. Music is my biggest hobby. I play piano, guitar, and bass.

I was the lead iOS engineer on a new Concur product for SME (not public). The app was designed for a seamless offline experience on multiple devices. This brought along many challenges like on-device OCR, background synchronization, or data version conflicts. After I joined the project, we managed to successfully rewrite the app from Objective-C to Swift 2, and later migrate it to Swift 3. We increased the overall test coverage of the project from 17% to 80+% and reduced the number of third-party dependencies to half. Technologies: Swift 3, CoreData, ReactiveCocoa and ReactiveSwift, Swinject, MVVM with flow controllers, Quick+Nible, FBSnapshotTestCase, Fastlane, Jenkins, GitHub
