Specialist Javascript Developer - Software Engineer (Unicesumar)

Throughout my career as a software engineer, I have always focused on creating my own projects. I'm genuinely passionate when it comes to creating products.
Currently, I own a retail-tech startup accelerated by Google at the beginning of 2020, one of more than 370 submitted startups, just before the pandemic. We grew above our expectations in this program and learned things from people that made it all a really life-changing experience. We were introduced to a lot of high-level managers of big retail companies in Brazil. With the team we have now, the startup is walking on its own feet, so it's been a great experience.
Today I have accumulated more than ten years of programming, seven full-time years of javascript development (React, Node, etc.), and more than three years managing teams. Deeply focused on high-scalable multi-platform products that make a difference in people's lives.

By the end of 2019, a retail-specialist colleague from COPEJEM (the biggest young entrepreneurs council from Brazil I joined when working at Nappo) invited me to join him on this project. The idea was to create the best salesperson assistant, using a data science model that analyzes more than 40 KPIs, predicted what were the best actions the user could make today to make more profit. At the beginning of 2020, we were one of the 20 startups from all over Brazil selected on Google's startup program among 374 submitted called Startup Zone, in São Paulo. This was one of the best professional experiences of my life. It gave me the opportunity to improve my GCloud knowledge (Cloud Functions, App Engine, Cloud Storage, etc.) with a Google engineer, best practices of Analytics with a specialist from Google, and we finished the program scoring 1st place, getting the boost we needed to be one of the startups with the most potential to grow according to them. ● Data-driven Retailtech startup; ● Managed a team of two software engineers and one designer; ● We developed a high-scalable software covering a web and mobile app (React.js/React Native), with a Node.js, Express, GraphQL and MongoDB stack on the back-end using Cypress to handle the end-to-end testing and Jest for unit testing; ● Negotiation with other CTOs to handle integration between store ERPs systems and us; ● One of the best things that I learned while working at Proft was the Hook model, which we used to make using the app a habit on users' daily routine (internal/external hooks, action, reward and investment). This was key to improve a lot the effectiveness of the salesperson; ● https://neopro.com.br

Developed a Whatsapp automation bot, that sent a message to Sony's clients every time their order was updated; ● I was one of the first developers in Brazil to receive the WhatsApp homologation needed to create this bot; ● The server was entirely created in Node.js and MongoDB, which could asynchronously handle more than 100 simultaneous orders, and create a fail-proof message queue to send to the clients; ● Since we started the project, the bot sent 100% of the messages it was supposed to and was active until April/21, when Sony finished their activities in Brazil

Nappo is one of my personal projects I most like. The main idea behind it is to avoid having to wait in line at a restaurant to make an order. We solved that, by creating an app that you can access all the restaurant menu, make your order and pay directly from your phone. It was my first experience on managing a team, which despite being small and having only one engineer and one UX/UI designer, taught me a lot about planning ahead and personal intercommunication. ● Developed a highly-scalable Android/iOS app with React native and a Web app for the restaurants with React.js; ● The back-end was developed using Node.js, Express, Redis and MongoDB; ● The server was hosted on Google App Engine, with a flexible instance configuration;

This was my first professional software developed. The story behind it is a little bit curious because it goes back to when I had to have surgery, and the doctors advised me to stay in the hospital for a week to recover. (Mabe was the company my dad used to work for. It was a multinational holding focused on home appliances, owner of companies like GE (Brazil), Dako and Continental) My dad was with me the whole process, and we used to talk a lot about the company he used to work for, and their activities. During those conversations, I figured out a way to optimize the process of collecting information from the stores which until then was captured manually, and therefore had a lot of flaws. ● Development of a system called PDVer, with responsive web design, being capable of running on mobile devices. ● PDVer was created to automate the process of data collection from stores, where a Mabe employee would visit some store which sells their products, and fill in the PDVer form with feedback about how the product was displayed and sold in the respective store, also uploading a picture to the system. ● PDVer collected all the necessary info, including a picture from the store which was taken by the smartphone. ● The software was made using PHP, Javascript, MySQL, HTML and CSS.

My work at Tallk was where I developed my love for Linux servers and architectures. I learned a lot of things during this volunteer job, including configuring and developing Asterisk servers, which was way off what I've developed since. ● VoIP Servers structuration, using asterisk technologies. ● Internal network development, with NAS and VPN servers. ● Windows stations configuration.
