I never thought I would be someone who loves writing code. I studied history in college and always thought my skills were in working with humans, not computers. On my first day at IBM, my manager directed me to Codecademy and I froze. I had only worked with spreadsheets and pivot tables before. I was so afraid of failure. Little did I know, learning the tools to work intimately and creatively with data would fundamentally change the trajectory of my career. As a manager, I onboard and train employees on how to approach analytical questions, structure analyses, and navigate our complex data universe. The most rewarding moments I find are when a complex concept sticks, and the “ah hah!” look crosses their faces. I am here to help you get there too with your analytical problem solving.
