Having nearly 20 years worth of web development experience, I was a fan of JavaScript before Douglas Crawford started writing about it, and I've supported applications which use JavaScript in the front-end all along (as well as written object oriented JavaScript).
I've used JavaScript in tons of environments, and even have experience embedding SpiderMonkey among other things.
Working in the advertising technology space for the last five years, I've had the opportunity to keep up with the changes in the JavaScript landscape. I've also had the opportunity of having to support a vast number of environments, having written frameworks which get embedded into millions of webpages across thousands of publishers stacks and supporting dozens of browser combinations as gracefully as possible, which gives me some unique experience with some of the finer details of browser support and library interoperability.
