My Javascript experience is mostly frontend based. This varies from simple enhancements to a website to make a little more dynamic to a fully featured admin panel.

This is pretty much the base of every web based application or website. At the moment my go to framework is Twitter Bootstrap as it let's me get started on the things that matter quickly. I mainly do this using the sass version of the framework.

I really got into PHP because I wanted to build an IRC bot to handle certain administrative tasks for XBConnect (this used to be tunneling software that would allow online game play with an Xbox). I found out quite quickly this was not the right tool for the job but the language sticked with me anyway. Later on in my study I also got to use PHP so it was very nice to have a headstart there. At my study we mainly worked on projects which varied from CMS systems to integration with third party payment systems. Nowadays I build custom systems for the needs of the client mainly using the Laravel PHP framework.

jQuery is the tool that got me into Javascript and has helped me many times. Lately I do not use it as often anymore due to my preference for some of the other tools available. The thing I like the most of it is pretty much how it's mostly plug and play.

MySQL has pretty much always been my go to database since I've started programming in PHP. Lately I've got to admit that I mainly use an ORM these days to perform my tasks but still write some queries by hand when I need to optimize the performance or quickly need to look something up from the command line.

Pretty much all projects I work on nowadays are managed by git and either hosted on Bitbucket (when private) or on GitHub (when open source). In the past when I was still mainly using OS X I used SourceTree for this but since my switch to Linux I've started doing all tasks with the command line.

My first Linux server ever was pretty much an old PC of mine with CentOS running a Counter Strike server (don't ask my why I thought this was a good idea). I remember this causing me a lot of trouble back in the day but it was totally worth it. Currently I still have one server running CentOS and all my other servers are running Ubuntu. Nowadays these servers are pretty much just LAMP/LEMP stacks but in the past I've also run a variety of other services.
