Consultant Software Developer, Fortune 500 Retailer
Nathan participated in several important projects during his client engagement with a major video game retailer. He helped implement the Web-In-Store Pre-Purchase functionality, specifically the feature that would enable store associates to cancel orders. As part of the implementation, he created an Order Maintenance Repository for modifying an order in the order management system. In addition, Nathan built out functionality to retrieve the new store procedure for the order details in order to populate the order view model for the order lookup page. He also implemented the ability to set the pre-release date and status of an order. He also helped update the styling for the labels used in the in-store search filters to easily find pre-release items. Technologies used during the Web-In-Store Pre-Purchase project included ASP.NET MVC, C#, CSS, & HTML.
For the DLC Pre-orders project, Nathan helped update the catalog management system to include a flag to suppress the release date. This required making updates to several SQL database views and to the catalog management utility. Nathan also implemented the logic and styling for the messages on the product details page for DLC pre-order items. Technologies used during the Web-In-Store Pre-Purchase project included ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL, CSS, & HTML.
During the Upsell project, Nathan helped update the catalog management system and product catalog search system to include a flag to enable the upsell recommendations by product SKU. He also implemented the ability to detect whether the website was being accessed by a mobile device based on the user agent. Nathan created a Cart API that would allow the client to add an item to the cart and to get the cart asynchronously. Technologies used during the Web-In-Store Pre-Purchase project included ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, & HTML.
