Of everything I do with computers and code, JavaScript is my passion! I enjoy writing code for both the browser and node.js. I have held lead front-end positions where I have mentored junior developers as well as written and designed applications using a full JS stacks.

I have been writing HTML for a long time. I use it daily with my current projects but I learned it long before I was old enough to write it professionally! I have watched it evolve and I like to think I know the in's and out's!

Node is something that had really picked my interest in web-development no only because I have a passion for JavaScript but because i find it interesting to be able to use the same code on both the server and the client.

jQuery is something I pretty much use daily as it has become the standard in tools used to make certain aspects of front-end javascript so much easier. I have experience with pretty much every aspect of it including writing custom plugins.

Backbone.js inspired me to become more of a front-end developer. Although there are many other frameworks out there, it is still my primary tool for building front-end based applications. I do not consider backbone a framework but more of a toolkit to build on top of. I have use it in many projects and have even written libraries for it. I have also used it server side and have a pretty good grasp on how it can be used isomorphically!
