• In a consulting and contractor role, worked with a large variety of organizations to help design, develop and implement their distributed systems and associated implementations. Ranging from data ingest, data processing to machine-learning infrastructure projects, in public clouds, private clouds, and “bare-metal” data centers.

Key Projects:

• Worked with a number of large F500 financial firms and other multinational corporations to bring abstract data ingress and processing architecture to production, including implementation of systems with large data ingest and processing times to sub-second end-to-end latency.
• For one of the largest asset management companies, designed and implemented a shared ML environment which allowed a group 60+ data scientists (and growing) spanning multiple internal organizations secured 24/7/365 access to GPU accelerated hardware.
• As a contractor with a variety of companies, ranging from growth-stage startups to F500 insurance company build, and/or migrate workflows to the cloud as well build automation and tooling for embedded systems cross-compilation & tool chaining.
• Co-authored O’Reilly “Kubeflow Operations Guide”

• Worked internally and externally with customers in the deployment and customization of WibiData software. Work entailed Big Data Application architecture, development of a demo application, mentoring / training junior field engineers, and providing input to the product feedback loop, ensuring product development was in line with customer requirements/feedback.

• Responsible for working directly with customers, on and off site, in architecting, implementing and supporting Hadoop clusters. Work with customers to internally train their staff in effectively using Hadoop, as well as assist in formulating actionable plans to solve big-data problems. Team Lead to the Solutions Architects group in overseeing Hadoop implementations, ranging from architecture, document deliverables, pre-sales (statements of work, etc.), to mentoring and training new hires.
