My love for Ruby goes back to the summer of 2008 when I first picked up a book on Ruby. I was amazed out how simple to read and write it was compared to Java. I spent my initial years writing Ruby code that looked like Java code but I eventually found the Ruby way. Along my Ruby journey, I've contributed to many open source Ruby gems (https://github.com/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Akcdragon+is%3Aclosed) and even created my own (https://github.com/kcdragon/mongration). I've built e-commerce sites with multi-million dollar annual revenue and written blog posts (https://www.weblinc.com/labs/functional-programming-discounts/).

I've started using React over the past year while working at GrubHub and Zoomer, companies in the food delivery industry. At both companies, I've worked on a React application for dispatchers to manage drivers, restaurants and orders in real-time.
