Alabama Astrobotics (formerly known as Alabama Lunabotics) is a competition team at the University of Alabama that competes in the NASA Regolith Mining Competition (RMC) every year. I helped found the team in 2009 to compete in the first annual RMC (then known as Lunabotics). My duties as a Team Lead and Systems Engineer focused on Team and Project Management and the application of the Systems Engineering process toward the project. This included overseeing technology integration and collaboration of the interdisciplinary subsystem teams. I was also heavily involved in the mechanical design (using Solidworks) and construction of each system as well as the software development for the operator front end.
