Over the past 20 years working at technology companies I've been a Developer, Database Administrator, Production Support Lead, Developer, Tech Lead, Functional Analyst, Development Manager and now Director of Data Engineering. I love playing with data and working on building data-driven systems.
Over the last 10 I've joined a startup -now close to become a Public company- where we develop a highly configurable cloud based product mostly used in the HR industry. My current job as Data Engineering Directory is to oversee cross-team development efforts aligning them to our company's strategic initiatives.

I'm currently working on a startup -soon to be public- company. We've grown from around 15 tech people (when I joined) to more than 800 today. During this period I've been in several positions. I initially joined to help our customers migrate their data to our instances. I later lead our product reporting initiatives and founded several teams in the process. I've done manager work -leading over 30 people at some point-, product design, and lately I've focus on cross-team initiatives regarding Data and Databases.

Our product allow for creating custom schemas for data, custom objects and workflows to move state during time. Having a reporting system with such a dynamic environment is a big challenge. We created a reporting layer that hides our database implementation and presents data tables to customers for report creation. A great indicator of this success is that we have been migrating data fields from some db tables to others, without client impact.
