Focus on what matters

It’s easy to get lost running around trying to catch up to the latest technology fad. It’s easy to get lost running around building a lot of features that seem urgent today and will be forgotten tomorrow.

When you build a house, you need a solid foundation. When you’re building a project, your foundation is clarity: clarity about what problem the project is trying to solve, who it is for and how it fundamentally works. Without clarity, a project is a house of cards that will fall down the moment you need to extend it.

My 20 years of experience allows me to distinguish the essential from the superfluous. I work with thinking of the long term: no flashy shiny thing and no wastefulness, but instead carefully thought-out simplicity, creating projects built to last.
