I've been in tech for over 15 years taking on many different roles and working with many different things. The one thing that has always been consistent is the need to learn, the need to teach, and the need to look at what others are doing. I've never thought of programming as a solo kind of work, we rely on the community, the other programmers in our teams, designers, product managers, all kinds of people and we learn and understand and turn all that into something a computer can comprehend. Teaching, commitment to learning, and communication have been the best things to bring me success in my career.
If you're looking to get started, break into a new language, understand TDD or testing in general, need help working out the next step in your career from someone that's managed teams of people's careers, or just need help fixing a big annoying bug, this girl can help you out.
