With a gold badge for C# on StackOverflow, I know the ins and outs of this language better than just about anybody.

Because of its low barrier to entry, it's easy to get away with barely understanding how Javascript works, but that doesn't mean you're writing good code. You need to know the patterns that will keep your code modular and robust.

HTML and CSS are often some of the most painful parts of web development, as we have to deal with browser inconsistencies and CSS's tendency to bleed into places we didn't want it to be. But I'm usually pretty good at finding the source of those annoying bugs and--more importantly--using code patterns that help to avoid them in the future.

As one co-worker said, "the more you use LINQ... the more you use LINQ!" It helps to transform traditional imperative code patterns into simpler, more modular, functional code patterns. I am really good at LINQ, as evidenced by my silver badge on StackOverflow.

Even though I only work in Java from time to time these days, my silver badge on StackOverflow attests that I'm well-versed with the language, and often able to help even more-experienced engineers to find better ways to write their code. Now that Java is getting lambda expressions, my C# experience is likely to prove even more valuable in this domain.

I'm comfortable with relational database design and writing queries. I can make educated guesses about performance issues, but database administration is not my strongest point.
