The first time I used C++ is about 14 years ago on a small QT based program. In the meantime I used it for smaller university projects and exercises.
Currently I work on a fast growing C++ based project. It is amazing what a big leap the language made with c++11 and c++14. It really feels like a new, modern language which is much better than the old standard(s). I am also happy to see QT became more and more "webby" with QML and JavaScript. Much more beginner-friendly as in 2001.
Visiting 'Meeting C++' in 2014 I realized: I am (still) no expert, but I could solve every problem I stumbled upon.
