My first critical win included writing a web app for our users, which allowed us to deprecate an old proprietary system entirely. The performance for generating reports increased tenfold (from around 60 seconds to around 5 seconds). Additionally, what I built offers much more flexibility using a modern front end. There have also been several smaller wins, primarily focused on the long-term goals of the team and the group. From fixing critical bugs and implementing new tools, I've made a significant business impact in my time thus far. It's been wonderful to see my mentorship help the junior folks grow in their careers, and we can see that result daily. Go team!

In a fast-paced startup environment at Sprinter Health, I led two teams of ~15 engineers to support our first-line internal customers, the medical technicians out in the field. Simplicity in the tool is paramount, and working with the design team, I extended the workflow to add new data points for technicians to gather for the patients. That lead to increased revenue by adding more services that the company can provide to the patients.

Led the six-person engineering team and collaborated with diverse stakeholders to develop and deploy proprietary microsystem designs targeting the healthcare industry in Python (Django) and Kotlin (Spring Boot). Managed project roadmap planning and estimation to ensure completion within established scope, budget, and timeline, driving innovation and automation. I even was a fill-in Engineering Manager for a while until a replacement came on board. · Successfully guided four high-visibility, value-added projects to an internal MVP state. · Reduced technical debt and increased the efficiency of existing systems across the organization. · Deployed microservices using Terraform and Kubernetes to AWS · Coached and mentored the staff and team to guide their professional development, including code reviews and feedback on interpersonal skills in one-on-one meetings, facilitating succession planning and promotability.
