Andrew Reese
I’m a curious, T-shaped technologist based in the DFW area of Texas.
I got my start as a graphic designer back in 2010, but it didn’t take long before I was elbow-deep in code, managing and building websites. That hands-on exposure lit the spark that’s guided my career ever since. I’ve since grown into a versatile full-stack developer with experience across frontend, backend, DevOps, and IoT.
These days, I’m most at home working with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and Python. I have solid experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORMs like Prisma, as well as backend tools like Node.js, Express, and MQTT for connected device communication. I enjoy building clean, maintainable APIs and microservices.
Cloud-wise, I’ve primarily worked with AWS, but I’ve also dipped into Azure and GCP to stay cloud-agnostic. I’m comfortable with Terraform, Kubernetes (Helm/Argo CD), and modern CI/CD practices.
Always exploring, I’ve also tinkered with Embedded C, Go, Java, RedwoodJS, and others—learning by doing is my favorite way to grow.
Outside of work, I’m into IoT projects, 3D printing, philosophy (Camus is a favorite), sociology, cinema, tabletop/video gaming, oddities/antiques, and playing/listening to music.
