I was the lead developer for the first version of the Refella MVP - an AI career mentor. It works by running retrospective sessions on a particular project (or anything you want to reflect on), where the agent will prompt you with relevant questions until it has enough information to generate an insight. This insight contains a breakdown of the project, the challenges you had, the solutions, your learnings, etc, that you can use to pitch for a promotion, a job interview, promote your personal brand on social media, etc. I decided for a simple, yet effective tech stack: SPA on React & TanStack query, backend on NodeJS, Hono and Supabase for authentication and DB and OpenAI API for LLM integration.
