I started my career as full stack developer using different languages and technologies, always with the focus on learning and keeping up with the fast-paced profession of web development. As a relative new developer (started only 5 years ago) when I started as a junior web developer Ruby and Rails was pretty known, I felt very intrigued by the language and its capabilities. I've worked with Coffeescript only after I felt comfortable using vanilla js. I think Coffeescript is great, allows you to avoid quite a few error prone features of js, and at the same time it is more intuitive for Ruby and Python developers to use. I've been exploring other mini languages like Livescript and Typescript which I think are great too.
