I want to be able to offer budding engineers the assistance and support that I know would have been valuable to me when I began programming.
Learning software development is challenging, but massively rewarding, and requires no small amount of patience and dedication.
Be that as it may, sometimes it's genuinely more efficient and valuable to have access to an experienced engineer to help work through those trickier problems and have them explain stuff in a way that just makes sense.
Keeping things straightforward and simple is key for me, and I go to great lengths to strip away the abstractions when debugging/tackling coding problems, as this allows me to identify the heart of the issue.
I write and review code all day every day, and I just enjoy helping people.
