Beacon health options is the largest behavioral health care company in the US with a customer base of over 30 million. Beacon connects platform is a collection of multiple applications starting from Customer care applications, IVR applications , Claims submission etc. The connects platform is a complete suite of products which are required by the business internally and for the customers as well. All these applications are home grown and maintained. Currently Beacon Health Options has started a new initiative to send text reminder messages to the patients regarding their Appointments, Medications and Refills (IVR and Email already available). This Initiative is getting implemented with one of the leading healthcare texting platform called LifeWIRE. Responsibilities # Participating in the design meetings with the internal team as well as the external vendors. # Code the various components of the application according to the specification # Wrote Spring batches for the bulk operations. # Used EJB3.0 to write the Server side code. # Used JQuery and JavaScript for UI validations and rendering. # Used JSTL to populate data in the web pages. # Used SoapUI and Postman Rest client to test Web Services. # Wrote Restful (jersey) producers and consumers as required. # Utilized Hibernate as ORM framework to perform database operations. # Used Websphere with IBM RAD in the development workspace to deploy and test applications. # Perform unit test both manually and using Junit test cases. # Perform code check ins to the configuration management system (CVS). # Perform the periodic builds for the quarterly releases using Jenkins. # Creation of Database change requests for the DB2 database. # Writing the Technical design document
